Apostille Korea opens a US university degree-certificate issuance platformA new online channel lets users request, translate and certify degree certificates from US universities without traveling abroad or to a campus registrar

Apostille Korea has opened an online platform for issuing degree certificates from US universities, allowing graduates and applicants to request, translate and certify their records remotely instead of contacting each school in person or by mail.

Key points
  • The platform handles degree certificates issued by US universities through a single online request.
  • Issuance, translation, notarization and certification can be arranged together without an overseas trip.
  • Documents issued in the US are authenticated in the country of issue before use in Korea.
  • The service targets graduates, job applicants and migrants who need verified US academic records.

Why a dedicated US degree platform

Graduates of US universities often need an official degree certificate for Korean employment, further study or visa filings, but obtaining one usually means contacting a distant registrar, navigating mailing rules and paying for international delivery. Apostille Korea says its platform consolidates these steps into one online request, so a user can order the certificate, add a certified translation and arrange the matching certification from Korea. Because the document is issued in the United States, it is authenticated there first — through a (local) apostille, since the US is a Hague Apostille Convention member — before it is recognized by a Korean institution.

How the process works for users

Through the platform a user submits a request, and Apostille Korea coordinates issuance with the university, prepares a notarized translation where required, and completes the certification appropriate to the destination. For documents heading to another Hague member country the route is apostille; for a non-member it is foreign-ministry processing and embassy legalization. The company says handling the steps online removes the need for an in-person visit and shortens the time graduates spend assembling a verified academic file, whether the certificate is for a Korean employer or for onward use abroad.
