2026 Seoul GED (2nd Round) Preparing Your Documents Online

The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education's GED (qualification examination) is a valuable turning point for many seeking a new academic opportunity. Studying is hard enough without also handling complicated registration and document prep alone — especially if your old school is far away or you don't know your student ID. Apostille Korea issues everything you need, from graduation certificates to removed-register certificates, online and contactless.

What is the GED (qualification exam)?

The GED (elementary, middle and high-school levels) is a state-run exam that lets people who did not complete formal schooling gain officially recognized equivalent qualifications. Passing grants the same rights as a regular graduate — advancing to higher education, applying for jobs, sitting licensing exams. The Seoul education office holds it twice a year (April and August); the 2026 2nd-round exam is scheduled for August 11.

When is it relevant?

  • You need an academic credential because you didn't graduate from a regular school
  • You need proof of high-school-level education for employment, licensing exams or university admission
  • You left school or your record lapsed through out-of-quota management
  • You live abroad or work and can't visit the school in person
  • Disability, illness or socio-economic reasons made formal schooling difficult

FAQ

Can't I prepare GED documents without my student ID?

You can. Even without your student ID, we can obtain your graduation or removed-register certificate using your school information or public records.

What is the 2026 Seoul 2nd-round registration schedule?

On-site: Jun 22 (Mon)–26 (Fri), 9am–6pm. Online: Jun 22 (Mon) 9am–Jun 25 (Thu) 6pm. Online closes a day earlier.

What counts as a final academic certificate?

A graduation certificate, removed-register certificate, out-of-quota management certificate or equivalency certificate. If you've taken the GED before, a pass certificate, subject-pass certificate or transcript also works.

Do applicants with disabilities need extra documents?

Yes. A welfare/disability card, an accommodation request form, and a doctor's note or veteran's card (with disability grade) are needed for extra time and accommodations.

Can I sit the exam with only a passport?

A passport is accepted as ID. If it lacks a resident number, bring a passport-information certificate too. A resident card, youth card, alien registration card or disability card (with resident number) also works.
